Student Discipleship

At Redeemer, we love and are so glad to have students be part of our church family. Our desire for our students at RSA is for them to be rooted in the Good News of Jesus, see him worthy of their lives, and know that they have a place in the local church. In this season as a church, we have a three-fold approach towards the discipleship of our students: Integration, Space, Serve.

Integration: We want our students to be involved–or integrated– in the life and rhythms of the church (small groups, equipping classes, events, etc…).

Space: We value students having their own space to grow in learning and living out the good news of Jesus.

Serve: For any student who is a follower of Jesus, the Spirit of God is in them–meaning they play a NEEDED role when it comes to serving the local church. We want students part of our serve teams.

What spaces exist for my student?

The primary student-focused space we have is our student small group that meets every other Sunday afternoon/ evening at the Carroll’s house. This small group is similar to our other small groups in that we share time together, talk through various topics, and pray together. We also have time to hang out, play some games, and sometimes eat together. Our student small group is led by our AMAZING student ministry leadership team. You can learn more about our student small group here.

We also encourage to bring your students to the small group you attend and invite them to participate in any of our equipping classes that we have throughout the year. This is part of the integration approach—we want them to see that their presence in a non-student small group is another way for them to participate/experience the body of Christ.

In addition, we will also at times have separate events or hangouts for our students outside normal small group time.

Where can my student serve?

With the exception of security team, our students are able to help in some capacity on one of our many serve teams. If there is an area they’d like to help, you can either talk to one of the our great student ministry leaders to help bridge the gap OR fill out the respective volunteer form at
